My Money Story Turnaround – Part TWO

The Rest of My Money Story

(You can read the first part of my money story turnaround HERE.)

Someone had just resigned that morning and I was now being considered to take over his role. I hung up and already KNEW the job was mine.

Instantly, a new wave of feelings began replacing the grief and self-anger I’d felt just moments before. Now I was filled with a sense of possibility, a feeling of being valued, and a realization of being worthy and capable.

And, of course, there was excitement and emotional liberation. I was finally taking some responsibility for my circumstances. Feeling self-empowered to change my outcomes. The way I viewed my world shifted, dramatically, in mere minutes.

Later that week, I was offered the job and a nice salary. I swallowed hard, decided I was worth even more, asked for more money…and got it. (I would’ve taken the job no matter what, but decided that I wouldn’t get what I didn’t ask for.)

Two weeks later, I began the transition to the new city – which brought up more fears and financial challenges. For 6 weeks, I had to commute 1.5 hours each way, every day, to my new job. Once my new paychecks began arriving, I found my financial footing to begin my major turnaround – which I’ll share more about later.

Before I move on, there are a few things I want you to take away from my story:

  • It’s OKAY to feel ashamed, trapped, or in a painful place around any financially-related situation you may have. It happens to most people – often for very deeply rooted, invisible reasons.
  • Your financially-related pain is not forever and you don’t have to hit rock bottom to change it. You can choose to take action today.
  • It’s OKAY to be afraid of making a change to any part of your Money Tree. It’s your subconscious trying to protect you. You can feel fear and still take action.
  • You don’t have to know ALL the actions to take or how to fix all your money-related problems. You just need to begin somewhere with your Money Tree. The next steps will emerge as you are ready for them.

Do you need to upgrade your belief roots? Do you need to grow your Trunk and earn more income? Do you need to change the Forest/environment around you? Do you need to create your own vision for your own life? Whatever feels like the starting place for you – intuitively – is where you should begin.
  • After setting an intention for yourself, ALWAYS pay attention to ‘signs from Source/Divine/God/Spirit/Universe’ and follow them. The messages come in strange, subtle, simple, surprising, diverse ways – and they have the power to help you change things at unbelievable speed.

As you just read, I found a very desirable job in just 30 minutes – with a single phone call. Over the years, I’ve learned that setting a clear intention, then following signs and listening to the inner voice, can quickly lead to all sorts of amazing things. For me, I found my current husband in 2 weeks, had a new business just handed to me for free within 24 hours of just desiring it, lived all-expenses paid in Australia for a year with an extra $100k tossed in, found the perfect home in minutes by following a gut feeling, and more.
  • Big change is rarely easy – especially when it involves money. When you begin to take action, challenges will arise. You must trust yourself and just keep moving forward.

For me, landing the job and the higher income was the easy part. Starting a new life in the new city was utterly terrifying and overwhelming. I had to keep reminding myself to just take it a step at a time…and watch for more signs of which direction to go.
  • Sometimes, all it takes is for ONE THING to change…then all the other pieces begin to fall into place. Like a clog in the line, you have to allow it to be removed or the line to be repaired so things can begin flowing, again.

Join me, again, tomorrow and I will share what happens for women when they take a more holistic, Money Tree approach to their financial lives.

I invite you to share your Comments, Questions, Requests, Praise, and thoughtful Criticisms in the box below!

Lavin – Oh, I did leave a cliffhanger there, didn’t I? I will endeavor to share more on this in the coming months. Sorry to keep you waiting. Another, more urgent goal pulled me off this track.

I want the ‘next’ post to this story! I want to know how you got your husband, a business and a new lifestyle in Australia all-expenses-paid!
